Uma Rao, an esteemed alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), brings over 25 years of rich experience in managing human resources functions across global and domestic multinational corporations in India.
Prior to joining Sekhmet Pharmaventures, Rao held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Granules India Limited, a global pharmaceutical company with operations in over 75 countries. Her expertise spans strategic HR planning, contemporary HR policies, business HR partnering, talent management, compensation and benefits, as well as handling merger and acquisition-related HR tasks, industrial relations, labor unions, and long-term settlements.
