Hyderabad, Telangana, India, March 2026 — Vanguard India has announced the appointment of Shalini Vashisht Sahi as Chief Operating Officer (COO), strengthening its leadership as the company continues to expand its global operations and technology capabilities in India. In her new role, Shalini Vashisht Sahi will help drive operational excellence and scale execution across the organization, supporting Vanguard’s long-term focus on building resilient capabilities for its global investor community.
With a career spanning procurement leadership, sourcing strategy, and operations across large global organizations, Shalini Vashisht Sahi brings extensive experience in building high-impact operating models, strengthening governance, and enabling transformation through process excellence and data-led decision-making.
In her current move to Vanguard India, she steps into a leadership mandate at a time when the organization is deepening its India presence to support broader global priorities—particularly across operations, technology enablement, and capability building.
Prior to joining Vanguard India, Shalini Vashisht Sahi spent nearly 16 years with Barclays, where she served as Managing Director and led multiple global mandates across procurement, sourcing, process excellence, data insights, and contact center operations. Across her tenure, she progressed through leadership roles including Director, Global Procurement, Head of Contact Center Operations, and Vice President – Head of India Sourcing, contributing to enterprise-scale execution across India and global teams.
Earlier in her career, she held senior sourcing and procurement roles across Nokia Siemens Networks Technology Co. Ltd, Delphi, and GE Medical Systems, Ultrasound & Primary Care Diagnostics, LLC, building deep expertise in regional category management and global sourcing. She began her professional journey with Honda Cars India Ltd, developing foundational experience in operations and business execution.
Shalini Vashisht Sahi completed an executive certification at Indian School of Business in Leading in the Age of Digital Disruption .
