Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, January 2026 – Kores (India) Limited – Engineering Products Division has announced the appointment of Venkatachalam K R as Chief Executive Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the organisation accelerates its growth in capital equipment manufacturing and advanced engineering solutions. In his new role, Venkatachalam will lead multi-plant manufacturing operations, product innovation and aftermarket service expansion across Kores’ engineering portfolio, while driving Make in India initiatives for domestic and global markets.
Venkatachalam joins Kores after serving as Vice President & Business Head at Wheels India Limited, where he led wind energy and railway businesses, managed multi-factory operations, drove P&L performance and delivered sustained top-line and bottom-line growth.
Prior to Wheels India, he spent over a decade with Danfoss as Director of Operations, Plant Head & Site Head, where he led large-scale operations, capex programs, productivity enhancement initiatives and safety-first cultures across manufacturing sites, delivering significant cost efficiencies and infrastructure expansion.
Earlier in his career, Venkatachalam held leadership roles at Aequs Pvt. Ltd., AMW Motors Ltd. and thyssenkrupp Automotive, building deep expertise in operations management, strategic sourcing, vendor development and lean manufacturing. He began his professional journey at Rajsriya Automotive Industries Private Limited as a Production Engineer.
