Venkatraman G S Appointed Chief Financial Officer at MathCo

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, June 2025 — Venkatraman G S has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at MathCo, a global enterprise AI and analytics company. With over three decades of experience in strategic finance, enterprise transformation, and operational leadership, Venkatraman joins MathCo at a transformative stage as the company accelerates its global growth trajectory following its recent $50 million funding from Brighton Park Capital.

Prior to joining MathCo, Venkatraman served as Chief Financial Officer at Maveric Systems Limited, where he led financial strategy and operations for over three years, driving scalability and fiscal discipline in a high-growth environment. Before Maveric, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Subex, where he played a critical role in capital restructuring, liquidity enhancement, and streamlining financial performance at the publicly listed software company.

During a 12-year tenure at Mindtree, he held several senior positions including Associate Vice President – Financial Controller, Chief Risk Officer, and Program Director – Business Finance, demonstrating his versatility across risk management, pricing strategy, FP&A, and governance. At Accenture, he managed complex financial reporting for global clients, while his early years at Wipro Ltd saw him handle critical portfolios like US GAAP consolidation, SEC filings, and marketing finance.

In the initial stages of his career, Venkatraman held finance roles at Indiana Dairy Specialties Ltd, Pepsi Foods Ltd, and Wipro Consumer Products Division, laying the foundation for his robust cross-sector financial expertise.

At MathCo, he will spearhead financial planning, compliance, investor relations, and growth initiatives, working alongside a strengthened leadership team that includes Tiger Tyagarajan and Manu Sharma. His appointment is expected to drive operational excellence, strengthen enterprise partnerships, and help scale MathCo’s proprietary AI platforms globally.

Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
