Baghdad Governorate, Iraq, November 2025 — Vian Dawood has started a new position as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Amwaj International | امواج الدولية, reinforcing the company’s commitment to building world-class people practices that support its expanding footprint across Iraq, the Middle East and Europe. In this strategic leadership role, she will shape HR transformation, organizational effectiveness and workforce capability across diverse business verticals.
Vian Dawood joins Amwaj International | امواج الدولية after serving as Human Resources Manager at IFFCO Group for approximately two years, where she led HR operations and strengthened people systems across the Iraq region. Her work contributed to building structured HR processes, employee development frameworks and enhanced workforce governance.
Before this, she served as Head of Human Resources at Al-Mamoori Group, where she supported organizational needs across multiple businesses and functions. Her leadership in this period helped strengthen talent practices and build managerial capability during a period of rapid business activity.
Earlier, Dawood held a pivotal role as Human Resources Director at Al Handal International Group, where she spent more than one year driving HR governance, operational alignment and workforce planning across the group’s diverse portfolio. Her experience extended into strategic HR partnership across real estate, investment, commercial and service lines.
She also served for nearly five years at the Economy Bank for Investment & Finance as Human Resources Manager, where she contributed to HR operations, people development, organizational management and employee relations. During the same period, she also offered expertise as an HR Consultant at Sumer Hills for Investments and Real Estate Development, supporting HR design and development across major contracting and project management initiatives.
Earlier chapters of her career include roles such as Human Resources Director at Al Qerat Group, HR Manager at Al Muhaidib Group, Organization Development & Change Manager at Al Safi Danone, Admin Manager at Coca-Cola Iraq, and nearly nine years of progressive experience at Abudawood Group, where she managed HR coordination, training, and HR supervision across Iraq and the region. Early responsibilities including Senior Admin Assistant and Administrative Assistant in Baghdad laid the foundation for her extensive HR leadership journey.
