Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – Vikas Purohit has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer – New Business Ventures at Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India). In his new role, he will be responsible for identifying and executing new growth opportunities, conceptualizing high-potential business models, and leading strategic initiatives to drive innovation and profitability.
Before joining BCCL (The Times of India), Purohit served as Director & Head – Small Business Group at Meta India, where he led efforts to support over 10 million small businesses across the country, enabling them with digital tools, advertising solutions, and business growth strategies. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Tata CLiQ Fashion, where he spearheaded business transformation and expansion for one of India’s largest online fashion retail platforms.

Earlier in his career, Purohit held leadership roles at Amazon Fashion, Reliance Brands, and Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, where he played a key role in scaling businesses, driving brand strategy, and enhancing customer experiences. His experience spans retail, e-commerce, digital transformation, and business strategy, making him a strong asset to BCCL’s growth initiatives.
A graduate of IIT BHU in Mechanical Engineering, Purohit also holds a PGDBM from IIM Bangalore, equipping him with a strong foundation in business strategy, operations, and leadership.
