Gurugram, Haryana,India, March 2026 — Vikram Solar has appointed Sameer Nagpal as Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he will steer the organisation’s strategic vision, accelerate growth, and strengthen its position in the renewable energy landscape through operational excellence and innovation.
With this appointment, Sameer Nagpal joins Vikram Solar at a time when the company continues to scale its presence in the solar PV manufacturing ecosystem. His leadership background reflects a strong track record in driving transformation, performance improvement, and value creation across complex businesses.
In his most recent assignment before joining Vikram Solar, he served as CEO & Managing Director at Livguard, where he led business priorities and strategic execution. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer at Dalmia Bharat Limited, where he led large-scale transformation and performance improvement initiatives, driving profitable growth through strategic leadership across sales, manufacturing, logistics, and digital excellence.
Earlier, he served as CEO & Managing Director at Dalmia Bharat Refractories, where he drove business integration and value creation. His work included integrating multiple entities into a single legal entity and brand, strengthening customer value through performance-driven products and services, and institutionalising manufacturing excellence to compete effectively. Under his leadership, the business expanded into select international markets and created a high-value M&A opportunity through its divestment to RHI Magnesita.
Before this, Sameer Nagpal served as Managing Director & CEO at Shalimar Paints, leading the transformation and revival of the publicly listed, board-managed company through a comprehensive restructuring and turnaround, including rebranding, portfolio revamp, supply chain redesign, manufacturing upgrades, supplier optimisation, and strengthened channel partnerships.
He also held leadership roles at Trane Technologies, where he spearheaded growth strategy and new business expansion in India, and at ZICOM Electronic Security Systems Ltd, where he led the transformation of the publicly listed organisation into a professionally managed, process-oriented company and positioned it for a successful M&A opportunity. Earlier in his career, he spent a significant part of his leadership journey at Carrier HVAC, with roles across strategy, service, sales, branch operations, projects, and business transformation.
