Vimal transitions into this leadership role after serving as General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer at Mastek, where he played a pivotal role in fortifying the company’s governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
With extensive experience spanning over two decades across legal, compliance, and strategic leadership, Vimal has been a driving force in aligning governance excellence with business strategy. His appointment as CHRO reflects Mastek’s commitment to nurturing leadership from within and building a culture anchored in trust, ethics, and innovation. In his new capacity, Vimal will focus on talent management, leadership development, and employee engagement, leveraging his deep understanding of corporate governance to advance Mastek’s people-first vision.
Before his appointment as CHRO, Vimal Dangri served as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at Mastek for nearly six years, where he led enterprise-wide compliance, governance, and risk programs. His leadership in establishing robust frameworks ensured regulatory adherence and enhanced stakeholder confidence during a period of significant global expansion for the company.
Prior to joining Mastek, he spent nearly 19 years at Firstsource as Senior Vice President – Legal & Compliance, where he headed legal advisory, ethics, and compliance functions. His strategic insights and ability to balance business priorities with regulatory obligations positioned him as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and board members.
An alumnus of the National Law School of India University, where he earned a Master’s in Business Laws, Vimal brings a unique blend of legal expertise, ethical leadership, and organizational vision to his new role as CHRO.
