Copenhagen, Denmark, April 2025 – Vishal Sharma has been announced as the new Group Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of DSV, effective with the anticipated completion of DSV’s acquisition of DB Schenker. He will also become a member of the Global Executive Committee (GEC). This milestone appointment reflects the company’s forward-looking strategy of combining strengths across global markets to offer best-in-class supply chain solutions.
With more than seven years at DB Schenker, Vishal most recently served as CEO for Asia Pacific, where he played a transformative role in expanding regional presence and enhancing customer-centric logistics solutions. His previous assignments included CEO for Greater China and CEO for India and Indian Subcontinent, where he drove growth, optimized operations, and deepened customer engagement across diverse business lines.
Prior to DB Schenker, Vishal held senior leadership roles at A.P. Moller – Maersk, including CEO – India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka for Damco, and Vice President, Maersk Line India. His tenure at Maersk also included a pivotal stint as Director in the Group Strategy Office in Denmark and Managing Director of Vietnam, where he spearheaded strategic infrastructure development and regional expansion.
Earlier in his career, Vishal led Gateway Rail Freight Ltd as CEO, orchestrating a business model turnaround through integrated multimodal logistics offerings. He also co-founded Tuscan Ventures, a private equity initiative focused on logistics ventures in India, and served as Director at ColdStar Logistics.
