Pune, Maharashtra, India, October 2024 – Vishwas Muthyala has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer at BMW TechWorks India, where he will oversee the company’s HR strategy, employee engagement, and talent development initiatives. Vishwas brings over 20 years of HR leadership experience in the automotive, pharmaceutical, and technology sectors, making him a valuable addition to the team as BMW TechWorks continues to drive digital innovation in the automotive industry.
Before joining BMW TechWorks, Vishwas Muthyala served as Vice President – Human Resources at Tata Technologies for nearly 7 years, where he was responsible for overseeing HR operations across global markets. His recent roles at Tata Technologies included Global Head – Business HR, HR Tech & HR Strategy and Head of HR for Europe and North America, where he managed HR processes for over 11,000 associates globally and spearheaded major organizational transformations.
Prior to his tenure at Tata Technologies, Vishwas held senior leadership roles at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, serving as Director & Head – Leadership Hiring, Recruitment CoE and HR-IT. During this time, he was responsible for leading senior management hiring globally and digitizing HR processes across the organization. Vishwas also served as Head of HR (Europe) for Dr. Reddy’s, where he managed HR operations across multiple countries and business units.
Earlier in his career, Vishwas worked at CK Birla Group as Assistant General Manager (Group HR), leading strategic HR initiatives such as succession planning and employee engagement for the group’s companies. He also held a Manager (Corporate HR) role at Tata Motors, where he managed performance management, manpower planning, and campus hiring across the organization.
