Mumbai, India – January 29, 2025 – Voltas Limited (A Tata Enterprise) has announced a significant leadership transition as Pradeep Bakshi, Managing Director & CEO, has expressed his desire not to seek reappointment upon the completion of his current term in August 2025. The Board of Directors, at its meeting held on January 29, 2025, has accepted his request with deep appreciation for his over two decades of service and invaluable contributions to Voltas’ growth and market leadership.
Under Pradeep Bakshi’s leadership, Voltas has achieved several milestones, strengthening its undisputed position in the Indian room air-conditioning industry. The Board of Directors expressed gratitude for his dedication and service to the company.
To ensure a seamless transition, the Board has unanimously approved the appointment of Mukundan Menon, currently Executive Director and Head – Room Air Conditioners (RAC), as the Managing Director Designate, effective April 1, 2025. Following this period, Mr. Menon will assume the role of Managing Director, effective September 1, 2025.
With extensive experience and strategic expertise in the industry, Mukundan Menon is well-positioned to drive Voltas’ innovation and growth agenda while continuing to reinforce its market leadership.
Pradeep Bakshi, commenting on his transition, said:
