Paris, France, March 2026 — Wabtec Corporation has appointed Sameer Gaur as President, Global Freight Services, strengthening its leadership team as it continues to scale its worldwide services franchise. In his new role, Gaur will lead Wabtec’s global services operations, focused on improving the reliability and performance of locomotive fleets across more than 20 countries, while deepening collaboration with customers and partners worldwide.
Gaur has built a strong track record within Wabtec Corporation, having spent over seven years in the organization across freight and transit services leadership. Most recently, he has served as Group President for Global Transit Services, based in Paris, where he led Wabtec’s transit services group and partnered with a broad customer base across multiple geographies, supported by a localized global service footprint.
Earlier at Wabtec, Gaur held the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager, Product Management – Global Freight Services, where he led the global parts and modernization business P&L and guided strategic investments across the services portfolio. He also played a key role in the post-merger integration efforts following the combination of GE Transportation and Wabtec.
Before Wabtec, Gaur built extensive leadership experience across GE Transportation, where he led product management and global services portfolios, including locomotive modernization and parts businesses serving customers across multiple countries. His work focused on expanding services capabilities and enabling customers to maximize utilization and performance of their installed locomotive fleets.
He has also held senior leadership positions within GE Capital, including serving as Chief Commercial Officer at GE Rail Services, where he contributed to major strategic transactions and led leadership across the deal cycle—from sale strategy and negotiations through transition planning and integration. In addition, he previously led the Motorsport Group within GE Capital’s commercial distribution finance business, driving growth and partnering with OEMs and dealer networks across markets.
Earlier in his career, Gaur spent over six years with Canadian National Railway, progressing through roles spanning business planning, capital expenditure management, and business development.
