United Kingdom, January 2026 – Walaa Mostafa EL-HOUTIMY has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – UKIE at Sanofi, taking on responsibility for leading financial business excellence, value creation and strategic financial governance across Sanofi’s United Kingdom & Ireland (UKIE) markets. This appointment reflects her extensive multi-regional finance leadership journey across Sanofi’s global operations.
Walaa Mostafa EL-HOUTIMY brings over two decades of progressive leadership at Sanofi, with a distinguished global finance career spanning Africa, Europe, Middle East and global growth markets. Prior to her current role, she served as CFO – Africa, leading financial business excellence across 43 markets, overseeing multi-billion-euro turnovers, complex multi-entity structures and large extended finance teams.
Earlier, she led finance strategy for Innovate to Grow global markets, driving financial excellence across 19 countries, and previously served as CFO – Egypt & Sudan, where she led financial transformation across multi-platform businesses including GenMed, CHC, Specialty Care and Pasteur.
Her global leadership journey also includes serving as Global Head of Finance – CHC External Manufacturing, managing multi-billion-euro P&L scopes and large global manufacturing partner ecosystems. She previously led regional finance strategy for Middle East & Eurasia, and held successive senior finance leadership positions including Cairo Site Controlling Manager, Business Controller, Commercial Controller, and Financial Analyst & Business Unit Controller at Sanofi, building a deep foundation in pharmaceutical finance operations.
She began her professional journey in banking at Société Générale, bringing strong financial discipline and commercial governance into her pharmaceutical leadership career.
Walaa Mostafa EL-HOUTIMY holds an MBA in Finance from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and is also Certified in Agile Workstream from Szkoła Agile Coachów i Scrum Masterów.
