Adelaide, Australia – October 2024 – William Quigley has stepped into a dual role at Serco Group, serving as the Acting Chief People Officer for the Serco AsPac region while also continuing his position as Group Director of Talent Acquisition. In his expanded role, William will lead HR strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, drive talent acquisition efforts globally, and align HR initiatives with Serco’s strategic goals, ensuring the seamless integration of global HR strategies with local operations.
Prior to this appointment, William was the Group Director of Talent Acquisition at Serco Group for nearly five years. In this capacity, he led global recruitment efforts across the UK, Europe, North America, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East, managing the hiring of over 20,000 people annually across five sectors, including Transport, Defence, Health, Justice & Immigration, and Citizen Services.
Before taking on a global role, William served as Director, People Services/HR Transformation Lead for Serco’s AsPac division. His responsibilities included HR transformation initiatives, developing new organizational models, and overseeing critical people services functions, including recruitment, advisory, and payroll, for 9,000 employees across the region.
Earlier in his career, William held the position of Service Delivery Manager at the Department of Premier and Cabinet, where he managed a large service delivery team of over 100 full-time employees, focusing on payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions for the South Australian Government.
William’s career began in the Department for Correctional Services, where he progressed through roles in accounts payable/receivable management, handling financial services and compliance within the department.
