Chicago, Illinois, United States, January 2026 — World Business Chicago has welcomed Ross Plagman, Global Chief Financial Officer, Mars Snacking, to its Board of Directors, strengthening the organisation’s leadership with deep global finance and strategy expertise from one of the world’s most recognised consumer goods companies.
Ross Plagman currently serves as Global CFO, Mars Snacking at Mars, where he oversees financial strategy and performance for one of Mars’ largest global segments. Prior to assuming this role, he held the position of Global Vice President, FP&A & Financial Strategy, playing a key role in shaping enterprise-wide financial planning and long-term value creation initiatives.
Earlier at Mars, Plagman served as Vice President Finance & CFO, Petcare North America, where he partnered closely with business leadership to drive growth, profitability, and disciplined capital allocation across a complex regional portfolio. His career at Mars spans more than 18 years, reflecting deep institutional knowledge and sustained leadership across multiple geographies and business units.
Before joining Mars, Plagman built a strong foundation in corporate finance through roles at ConAgra Foods, Wrigley, and Johnson & Johnson, gaining broad experience across manufacturing operations, consumer brands, and multinational financial environments.
Through his appointment to the World Business Chicago Board of Directors, Plagman will contribute strategic financial insight and global business perspective to support Chicago’s economic development, international engagement, and long-term growth agenda.
