Kyiv, Kyiv City, Ukraine, October 2025 — Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine, one of the country’s most trusted and internationally recognized financial institutions, has announced the appointment of Yuriy Soroka as its Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Yuriy will oversee financial strategy, performance management, and transformation initiatives to strengthen the bank’s fiscal resilience and innovation in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
Yuriy has been part of Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine for more than 19 years, building a distinguished career marked by strategic leadership and financial transformation. Prior to his new appointment, he served as Head of Investments and Transformation Division, where he was responsible for developing and executing the bank’s investment strategy, ensuring portfolio optimization, and aligning financial objectives with long-term business goals. He also acted as the AI Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the bank, integrating data-driven and AI-enabled practices across core financial operations.
Earlier, Yuriy led as Head of Financial Controlling and Business Intelligence (BI) Division, managing a team of 36 professionals across finance, cost control, and analytics. His leadership drove enhancements in liquidity management, capital steering, and business intelligence while modernizing data governance and cloud-based data infrastructure. His initiatives significantly strengthened decision-making agility and transparency within the bank.
Before that, he held the position of Head of Budgeting and Management Reporting Department, where he led the reorganization of 26 regional finance units into one centralized structure. This transformation streamlined budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the organization, setting the foundation for greater efficiency and data consistency.
Yuriy began his journey at Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine as a Finance Controller and Team Lead, where he developed financial models that enabled the centralization of management reporting across 1,600 branches. His work in process automation and cost control marked the beginning of his impactful career in financial systems development and strategic leadership.
