Santana Ramakrishnan, CHRO, ZEISS India, expresses, “At ZEISS, we believe that talent and potential are not defined by career breaks. We understand that many women step away from their careers for personal milestones like marriage or motherhood – but that should never mean an end to their professional aspirations. With this program, ZEISS is committed to supporting women in restarting their careers with the right opportunities, mentorship, and flexibility. We are hopeful that through ZEISS Reignite initiative, we will create meaningful pathways for women and ensure they return to work with confidence and purpose. By fostering an inclusive workplace that values diverse life experiences, we are not just enabling careers – we are empowering women to thrive!”
Inclusion is deeply embedded in ZEISS India’s culture, as evidenced by the significant representation of women in our workforce. The ~55% women’s representation at our India Mass Manufacturing facility (INMA) exemplifies how this commitment enhances team productivity and fosters a positive work environment. The organization actively fosters this through diverse hiring, flexible work arrangements, robust POSH training, and various gender-inclusive programs.
