Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, June 2024 – Karen Dhillon has taken on the role of Head of HR, APAC at DSI Underground (APAC). Karen will lead and execute progressive people practices to drive a high-performance culture in the APAC region.
Karen joins DSI Underground from Indorama Ventures: Indovinya, where she served as Head of HR – ANZ for over a year. At Indorama, Karen focused on employer branding, compensation & benefits, and other HR functions to support the company’s growth and strategic objectives.
Prior to this, Karen spent over nine years at Howden, A Chart Industries Company, holding various roles including HR Director, APAC and HR Manager. As HR Director, she managed HR operations across multiple countries in the APAC region, focusing on talent strategy, employee engagement, global mobility, and talent management. During her tenure as HR Manager, she established the HR function within Howden Australia, managed mergers and acquisitions, and developed key HR initiatives aligned with the business strategy.
Earlier in her career, Karen founded and led Bellapreneur Consulting Services, providing business and lifestyle coaching, as well as HR consulting. She also worked at RailCorp, where she held several HR roles including Manager Business Partners, Service Delivery Group, Manager Performance Planning, Workforce Strategy Division, and HR Manager, Security Division. At RailCorp, she was instrumental in implementing HR programs, policies, and strategies to meet the needs of a changing business environment.
