Singapore, July 2024 – Hetty Townsend has joined L Catterton as the new Vice President, Human Resources APAC. Bringing extensive experience in human resources management, Hetty will oversee HR operations and strategy across the Asia-Pacific region for the world’s largest consumer-focused private equity firm.
Hetty Townsend most recently served as the APAC People and Culture Business Partner at Lloyd’s List Intelligence. In this role, she managed HR functions across seven APAC countries and led the separation process when the business was acquired by Montagu, setting up operations under the new ownership.
Before that, Hetty was a Human Resources Business Partner at Schroders Personal Wealth, where she provided HR counsel to the executive team and regional directors, and collaborated closely with the Head of Reward and Head of Talent. Her responsibilities included managing employee relations, policy writing, and driving strategic HR initiatives.
Earlier, Hetty held the position of HR Advisor at Schroders, supporting the investment business and managing various HR processes, including employee training, organizational development, and performance management. She also completed a secondment in Singapore, covering a business partner role supporting investment, distribution, and technology functions.
Hetty began her career as a Graduate Trainee at Schroders, where she gained experience in recruitment, talent management, internal communications, and HR generalist functions through rotations in London and Hong Kong.
