New York, New York, United States, July 2024 – Bhupinder Wadhwa has begun his new position as Director, HR Information Systems at Playa Hotels & Resorts. In this role, Bhupinder will be responsible for overseeing HRIS operations, driving process improvements, and implementing advanced HR technologies to support the company’s strategic objectives.
Bhupinder Wadhwa brings extensive experience in HR Information Systems and IT management. Prior to joining Playa Hotels & Resorts, Bhupinder held the position of HRIS / HR Systems Operations Lead at Emergent BioSolutions for over eight years. In this role, he managed client relationships, drove process harmonization, and led numerous HRIS projects, including the creation of the HRIS Governance Board and the successful implementation of several complex projects.
Before his tenure at Emergent BioSolutions, Bhupinder worked as a Project Manager at SRA International, where he led teams of developers and subject matter experts, managing project milestones, budgets, and key stakeholder relationships. His notable projects included the Agile Scrum WPTS project and the NEAR web application.
Bhupinder’s career also includes roles as Project Manager / Senior Systems Analyst / Developer at AT&T Government Solutions, Systems Analyst / Applications Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin Information Technology, and Production Team Lead at SAIC. His diverse experience spans across various industries, including defense, immigration, and environmental protection, where he consistently demonstrated his ability to manage complex projects and deliver exceptional results.
