London, England, August 2024 – Jordan Tayler has been appointed as the new Head of People Partnering – Retail at Sainsbury’s, where they will lead a team of regionally based HR Business Partners across the retail supermarket and convenience channels. Jordan will partner closely with the Director of Stores and Regional Store Directors to align and deliver people plans that are integral to achieving Sainsbury’s “Next Level” business strategy. Reporting directly to the Retail HR Director, Jordan’s role is crucial in driving HR initiatives that support the company’s growth and operational excellence.
Before joining Sainsbury’s, Jordan served as the Senior People Business Partner – People & Technology at Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard) for approximately 1.5 years. In this role, they were a strategic business partner to the Chief People Officer and Chief Technology Officer, leading significant organizational changes, including the design and delivery of the Technology Target Operating Model.
Prior to that, Jordan was the Senior HR Business Partner – People & Shared Service Organisation at Carnival UK for around 11 months. During this tenure, they played a pivotal role in restructuring the People Team’s operating model and enhancing employee engagement processes within the Shared Services function.
Jordan also spent nearly 2 years at Tesco as the HR Proposition/Programme Manager – Future Workforce. Here, they led the design and deployment of the Future Workforce vision, including a new colleague contract for 300,000 front-line workers, which was a significant milestone in the company’s workforce strategy.
In addition to these roles, Jordan has held various HR and leadership positions at Tesco, accumulating over 14 years of experience in HR business partnering, organizational development, and employee engagement across multiple regions and functions.
