HELSINKI, FINLAND, September 9, 2024 — Stora Enso, a leader in the global bioeconomy with a focus on renewable products, today announced the appointment of Pasi Kyckling as acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Kyckling will serve in this capacity from November 1, 2024, until Niclas Rosenlew officially joins the company as the new CFO, no later than January 2025.
Pasi Kyckling, currently the Group Transformation Officer at Stora Enso, has been instrumental in leading the company’s strategic initiatives to enhance profitability and cash flow. Since joining Stora Enso in 2001, Kyckling has held various leadership roles across finance, strategy, and IT within the Biomaterials division, Group Treasury, and Group Controlling.
This transition follows the announcement that Seppo Parvi, the current CFO, will be leaving to join a company outside of the forest industry. “Pasi’s deep understanding of our financial and operational frameworks, combined with his proven leadership in our transformation efforts, makes him exceptionally well-suited to guide our financial strategy during this transitional period,” said Stora Enso’s CEO.
Stora Enso is committed to innovation in the renewable product sector, providing sustainable solutions in packaging, biomaterials, and wooden construction. The company, one of the largest private forest owners globally, continues to drive value through its low-carbon and recyclable products, supporting customers in adapting to the growing demand for sustainable options. Stora Enso employs approximately 20,000 people, and in 2023 reported sales of EUR 9.4 billion. The company’s shares are listed on Nasdaq Helsinki (STEAV, STERV) and Nasdaq Stockholm (STE A, STE R), with additional trades on OTC Markets in the USA.
