New Delhi, India, September 2024 — ReNew Power, one of India’s largest renewable energy companies, has been honored Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for its significant contributions to advancing renewable energy across the nation. The recognition came from Pralhad Joshi, Minister of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), alongside the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu; Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma; Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav; and Energy Minister Kanubhai Patel.
Sumant Sinha, Chairman and CEO of ReNew, expressed pride in the recognition and praised the company’s ReNewers for their relentless efforts in building a sustainable energy future over the past 15 years. ReNew has played a pivotal role in India’s ambitious target to achieve 500 GW of clean energy by 2030.
India is on the cusp of a renewable energy transformation, and achieving the 500 GW target will require an estimated investment of ₹30 lakh crore. Both public and private sectors need to collaborate on funding renewable energy projects in the coming years to ensure successful attainment of this milestone. ReNew remains at the forefront of this effort by expanding its clean energy portfolio, including green hydrogen and job creation initiatives, in alignment with the country’s climate goals.
