Erica Lerro Appointed as Head of People Programs, Amazon Entertainment at Amazon

San Diego, California, USA, September 2024 – Erica Lerro has been appointed as Head of People Programs, Amazon Entertainment at Amazon, where she will lead initiatives to enhance the employee experience, focusing on creating environments that inspire creativity, collaboration, and meaningful career growth within Amazon’s Entertainment division. In her new role, Erica will drive strategic programs to support employee engagement and development across multiple entertainment platforms, including Prime Video, MGM Studios, Music, and Twitch.

Prior to this role, Erica Lerro served as Head of Executive Success at Amazon Entertainment for nearly 2 years, where she played a pivotal role in driving executive development, succession planning, and onboarding for key leaders. During this tenure, she also designed and launched the ‘Spotlight’ summit, a program aimed at empowering executive women in entertainment.

Before rejoining Amazon, Erica was Performance Lead, People Experience at Meta for over 1 year, where she led the transformation of Meta’s performance management system for over 80,000 employees. She was instrumental in driving behavior changes focused on strategic thinking, feedback, and performance coaching.

Erica also held various leadership positions at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she worked for more than 5 years in roles such as Principal, Executive Development Programs and Senior Program Manager, Global Talent & Development. At AWS, Erica contributed to the development of executive talent pipelines and played a key role in the launch of Amazon’s first Black Executive Accelerator program.

Her earlier experience includes management roles in leadership development at Discover Financial Services and Loyola University Chicago, where she developed and implemented career development and leadership training programs.
