Toronto, Ontario, Canada, October 2024 – Benjie Thomas has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer and Senior Partner of KPMG Canada. In this role, Benjie will lead the firm’s business operations and manage its over 10,000 professionals across Canada. Additionally, he will serve as a member of KPMG’s Global Board and the Global Council of KPMG International.
Benjie has been with KPMG Canada for over 23 years, during which he has held several leadership roles. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he served as the Partner, National Industry Leader for Private Equity, providing expert services to private equity clients in complex due diligence engagements.
For about 8 years, Benjie was the Canadian Managing Partner, Advisory, where he co-managed over 2,000 professionals and helped clients navigate challenges in growth, governance, and performance, particularly within the private equity sector.
Earlier in his career, Benjie held the role of Director, Transaction Services for approximately 3 years, where he led multi-disciplinary diligence teams and worked on over 45 transactions across various sectors, including consumer products and healthcare.
