Prior to this appointment, Rupali Sharma served as Director, Human Capital at Z47, where she worked closely with founders across sectors—from fintech and B2B to D2C and wellness—supporting their growth journeys with tailored talent strategies. Her work spanned talent acquisition, employer branding, culture design, and strategic HR advisory. She played a crucial role in building early teams at ventures like Finable, StableMoney, Dezerv, Freakins, Foxtale, ZippMat, Captain Fresh, and more.

Before joining Z47, Rupali spent over five years at Matrix Partners India, where she grew from Vice President to Director – Human Capital. At Matrix, she was instrumental in shaping the HR strategy and culture blocks for startups including Country Delight, DealShare, FarMart, TheWholeTruth, Open Secret, and Oziva (which was later acquired by HUL). Her deep founder empathy and hands-on approach positioned her as a trusted strategic partner across the venture ecosystem.

Earlier, Rupali held leadership roles at redBus, where she was Associate Director – HR, leading talent acquisition across India and international markets including Southeast Asia and Latin America. She also managed international HR business partnering and built redBus’ project management function. Her foundational years include stints at IQVIA, Tata Consultancy Services, and Citi India, where she honed her skills in staffing, HR business partnering, and large-scale recruitment operations.

Rupali holds an MBA in HR and OD from Delhi School of Economics, and has been featured in industry forums such as IIMJobs’ HR Manager’s Guide to Employer Branding and TA Dialogues’ Top 25 Women Who Made a Difference in Talent Acquisition.
