Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, October 2024 – Peter Pontone has taken on the role of Head of Human Resources, Canada at Linde, a global leader in industrial gases and engineering solutions. In this key leadership position, Peter will oversee HR strategy and operations across Canada, driving initiatives in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development to align with Linde’s business goals.
Prior to joining Linde, Peter held the position of Vice President, Human Resources at Ricoh Canada Inc. for 3 years and 10 months, where he led the HR function, focusing on talent management, employee relations, and succession planning. His leadership contributed to the development of key HR initiatives that aligned with Ricoh’s long-term business objectives.
Before his role as Vice President, Peter served as Director, Human Resources at Ricoh Canada Inc. for 1 year and 9 months, where he was responsible for implementing employee development programs and overseeing a team of HR consultants.
Earlier in his career, Peter was the Head of Human Resources at Liebherr Group for 5 months, where he managed HR operations and supported strategic business growth across the organization.
Peter also held key roles at Chemtrade, where he was Director of Human Resources – Canada for 8 months, and Director of Organizational Development for 2 years and 2 months. His focus on organizational development, succession planning, and talent acquisition helped drive the company’s success in these areas.
