United Arab Emirates – November 2024 – Olivier Blum has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at Schneider Electric. With over 30 years at Schneider Electric, Olivier expressed his commitment to building on the company’s strong foundation and leading a global team to drive innovation and sustainability in the energy sector. In his own words, Olivier is honored to lead Schneider’s mission of being a trusted partner for sustainability and efficiency and to empower all to make the most of energy and resources.

Olivier’s journey at Schneider Electric has been marked by various leadership roles. Prior to his promotion, he was the Executive Vice President of Energy Management and a member of the Executive Committee, overseeing a €28 billion business and spearheading innovative energy solutions. His efforts contributed to the launch of several industry-leading technologies, including the EcoStruxure™ Building Advisor and the SM AirSeT, aimed at making energy safe, efficient, and sustainable for industries worldwide.

Previously, Olivier held the role of Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer, also as part of the Executive Committee. During this tenure, he drove the 2021-2025 Sustainability Strategy, solidifying Schneider Electric’s position as a global leader in sustainability. His work garnered recognition, as the company was named the “Most Sustainable Corporation” by Corporate Knights in 2021.

In his role as Chief Human Resources Officer from 2014 to 2020, Olivier led strategic HR initiatives to enhance Schneider Electric’s people-first culture. His initiatives were pivotal in shaping a purpose-driven and inclusive organization, fostering a global environment that prioritizes talent and development.

Earlier in his career, Olivier took on significant responsibilities across various geographies, including his role as Managing Director for the Greater India Zone and Vice President of Strategy & Marketing in China. He has also held several senior roles in France, China, and India, providing him with a diverse perspective and deep insights into global markets and business strategy.
