Greater Sydney Area, Australia, November 2024 – James McCay has been named the new Head of Talent at The Y NSW, taking on the responsibility of leading talent acquisition and management initiatives to support the organization’s mission of empowering young people and fostering community well-being.

James brings over two decades of experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, with a strong focus on building effective teams and driving strategic hiring solutions. Most recently, he served as Talent Acquisition Specialist at CHOICE, where he dedicated seven years to delivering innovative recruitment strategies and supporting organizational growth.

Before that, James contributed to talent acquisition efforts at UNSW, where he developed local and global recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent aligned with the university’s vision for innovation and societal impact.

In earlier roles, James gained extensive expertise in recruitment strategy and execution through leadership positions at organizations such as CPB Contractors, Holcim Australia, and i2i Recruitment, consistently achieving cost savings, operational efficiency, and talent acquisition excellence.

James began his recruitment career at Morson Talent in the UK, where he developed a solid foundation in volume recruitment and project hiring, which has since informed his strategic approach to talent acquisition.
