Edmond, Oklahoma, United States, November 2024 – Monica Whitmire has joined Epworth Villa as the new Director of Human Resources, where she will oversee HR operations, drive employee engagement, and contribute to the strategic leadership of the organization.
Monica brings extensive HR experience to her new role. Most recently, she served as Human Resources Manager at Arvest Bank for nearly two years. In this position, Monica led strategic and tactical HR functions for the Central Oklahoma market, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and leadership coaching. She played a critical role in maintaining compliance with federal and state laws while enhancing HR policies to drive organizational success.
Prior to Arvest Bank, Monica spent over nine years at ADP, where she rose to the position of Senior HR Business Partner – Team Lead. In this role, she advised clients on HR strategy, compliance, and best practices, demonstrating expertise in employee relations, benefits design, and succession planning. Monica also managed client relationships, delivering tailored solutions to meet business needs.
Her career includes a tenure at Farmers Insurance, where she worked as an HR Consultant for nearly two years, specializing in talent acquisition, performance management, and leadership development. Monica also gained significant experience at DIRECTV, serving as an HR Generalist for over two years, and at Dish Network as an HR Representative, where she honed her skills in training, compliance, and employee relations.
