Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, December 2024 – Girish Verulkar has commenced his new role as Director – Human Resources at Cipla, a leading global pharmaceutical company. Based in Indore, Girish will oversee HR strategies and initiatives to support Cipla’s mission of “Caring for Life.”
Girish Verulkar joins Cipla after serving as General Manager and Head of HR & Admin at Sun Pharma for over five years. During his tenure, Girish played a pivotal role in managing HR operations and administrative functions in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, and contributed to organizational growth through his analytical skills and strategic HR leadership.
Prior to Sun Pharma, Girish spent seven years at Lupin Limited, where he held the position of Head & DGM- Plant Human Resources. Based in Indore, he led plant-level HR functions, including talent management and compliance, earning recognition for his expertise in analytical problem-solving.
Earlier in his career, Girish worked as Manager at Andritz Hydro for over four years, handling HR functions for the hydro-mechanical engineering sector. He also served as Senior Executive HR at Crompton Greaves, where he gained hands-on experience in recruitment, training, and union management over four and a half years, showcasing his versatility and adaptability in HR roles.
His career began at Ashoka Buildcon Limited, where he spent over three years as Officer HR, gaining foundational experience in HR operations and processes.
