Colombo, Western Province, Sri Lanka, December 2024 – Axiata Digital Labs has announced the appointment of Maheshi Gamage as its new Chief People Officer. In her new role, Maheshi will oversee the company’s human resources strategy, organizational design, and employee engagement initiatives to drive a people-first culture at the innovative software services provider.
Before joining Axiata Digital Labs, Maheshi spent nearly eight years at Nations Trust Bank PLC, where she most recently served as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources. Her tenure at the bank was marked by her leadership in human resource development, operational risk management, and crafting robust people strategies. Earlier, she served as Senior Manager of Human Resources, where she contributed to strengthening HR operations and employee engagement.
Prior to her tenure at Nations Trust Bank, Maheshi spent over a decade at PwC, where she advanced to the role of Senior Manager Human Capital. At PwC, she focused on human resource development, payroll management, and operational excellence, supporting the firm’s people-first approach. Her earlier career included a position as Associate Consultant at Randstad, where she specialized in recruitment and talent acquisition.
