New York, United States, December 2024 – BNP Paribas, the European Union’s leading global bank, has announced the appointments of Guneet Dhingra as Head of US Rates Strategy and James Egelhof as Chief US Economist for its Markets 360™ division. These strategic appointments reflect BNP Paribas’ commitment to strengthening its market strategy and economic insights for corporate and institutional clients.
Guneet Dhingra, previously Head of US Rates Strategy at Morgan Stanley, brings over 16 years of experience in the rates space. Recognized as one of Wall Street’s top inflation strategists for five consecutive years, he will oversee coverage of US rates products, including Treasuries, swaps, inflation, and volatility. Dhingra is based in New York.
James Egelhof, former Head of Fundamental Global Macro Research at Jane Street, brings deep expertise in US economic forecasting, inflation, and monetary policy. With a decade of experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Egelhof led quantitative research teams focused on global markets and monetary policy strategies. He will also be based in New York.
Both Dhingra and Egelhof will report to Calvin Tse, recently appointed as Head of Americas Macro Strategy and US Economics, further expanding the bank’s strategic focus in the Americas.
