This transition reflects Laurie’s contributions to the organization’s growth and commitment to fostering a dynamic workplace culture that supports Modera’s strategic direction.
Laurie joined Modera Wealth Management in June 2022 as Chief People Officer/CHRO, where she played a pivotal role in designing and executing firm-wide human capital initiatives. Her focus areas included talent acquisition, executive coaching, performance management, and succession planning, helping Modera align its HR strategies with its business objectives.

Before Modera, Laurie spent more than a decade at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, where she served as Director of Talent Management for a global law firm with 650+ professionals. She collaborated with firm leadership to create professional development programs that aligned with strategic goals, significantly enhancing the firm’s talent pipeline.
Her earlier career included serving as Director of Professional Development at Carlton Fields, where she drove initiatives such as compensation, mentoring, and training for a 300+ attorney law firm. At Emory Law School, Laurie served as Dean of Career Services, providing career counseling and strategic planning for students and alumni. She also held leadership roles at Valparaiso University School of Law and worked as an attorney at firms including White & Case LLP and McGuire Woods, gaining valuable insights into professional development and organizational strategy.
