Maryland, United States, January 2025 – Michael Gershenfeld has been named President of Performance Foodservice Maryland, stepping into this leadership role to oversee the company’s regional operations and strategic growth. Gershenfeld brings extensive experience in the foodservice distribution industry, positioning him well to continue driving Performance Foodservice’s commitment to quality service and operational excellence.
Michael Gershenfeld joined Performance Foodservice Maryland as General Manager, where he led regional operations for approximately nine months before being appointed President.

Prior to this, Gershenfeld served as Vice President of Foodservice Sales at Handy Seafood for nearly a year, overseeing sales strategies and market expansion efforts. Before Handy Seafood, he was the Chief Operating Officer at Taustin Group for almost three years, where he led business operations and growth initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Gershenfeld had a significant tenure with Sysco, where he held the role of Regional Vice President of Sales and later served as President of Sysco Eastern Maryland for approximately nine years, contributing to regional sales leadership and operational advancements.
