Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, January 2025 – Karen O. has been named the Chief Financial Officer at Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV), the leading oral and dental health agency in Victoria. In this pivotal role, Karen will oversee financial strategy, operational efficiency, and resource allocation to support DHSV’s mission of promoting oral health equity across the state.
Karen transitions to DHSV after serving as Chief Financial Officer at Oxfam Australia for nearly two years, where she led financial planning and governance, ensuring alignment with the organization’s humanitarian goals.
Previously, she was the Financial Controller at Neami National, where she managed financial operations and implemented process improvements to strengthen organizational sustainability.
Before that, Karen held the role of Financial Controller at Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, where she directed financial management, board reporting, and finance transformation projects to optimize research funding and operations.
Earlier in her career, Karen served as GM Finance and Commercial, Telecommunications Group at VicTrack, Commercial Finance Manager at Uecomm Optus, and Financial Controller at Hooroo Pty Ltd, a Qantas Group company, where she established financial systems for a new business. Her extensive experience spans sectors such as healthcare, telecommunications, aviation, and media.
