Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, January 2025 – Amitabh Mishra has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Adani Power. He succeeds Sanjay Argade, who will be transitioning to a new role within the Adani portfolio.
With 29 years of experience in HR leadership, Amitabh Mishra has played a crucial role in talent acquisition, industrial relations, employee engagement, and organizational development. Over the past 15 years at Adani Group, he has significantly contributed to shaping the company’s HR and organizational development strategies. Prior to this role, he served as Vice President – Human Resources at Adani Power, where he was responsible for HR strategy and workforce transformation.

Before joining Adani, he worked as Sr. Manager – HR at Saint Gobain Abrasives (Grindwell Norton) for two years, handling HR operations and talent management. He also spent eight years at Coromandel Fertilisers Limited – Murugappa Group, serving as Corporate HR Manager, where he focused on employee engagement and performance management. Earlier in his career, he worked at Thermax Limited as a Senior Executive – HR for two years, overseeing workforce planning and development.
