Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, April 2025 – Kiley Schmitz has been appointed as Chief People Officer at McGuire Sponsel, where she will lead the people strategy, cultural transformation, and organizational development to support the firm’s continued growth and impact in the professional services industry. McGuire Sponsel, a trusted tax and advisory partner to over 500 CPA and real estate firms, brings Kiley on board to spearhead people leadership across its expanding national footprint.
Prior to joining McGuire Sponsel, Kiley co-founded Odyssey Resilience, a platform focused on resilience coaching for individuals, couples, and elite teams. Over the past two years, she has built a brand around holistic human development, helping clients strengthen resilience across six life domains including composure, health, and collaboration.
Before that, she served as Vice President of Talent & Sales Performance Coach at Lappin180, where she worked closely with professionals across wealth management, real estate, technology, and insurance sectors to elevate performance through mindset, process, and accountability. During her tenure, she also co-hosted a high-performance podcast titled Breaking Sales.
Earlier, Kiley held the position of Chief People Officer at Spot Freight, where she led HR strategy and operations during a period of exponential growth, driving a nearly 90% increase in headcount. Her efforts in transforming recruitment processes, implementing HR technology systems, and redesigning performance management programs significantly reduced turnover and improved employee engagement.
Over the past decade, Kiley has also contributed her expertise to organizations such as Eleven Fifty Academy, Vermont Hard Cider Company, Glazer’s Distributors, and Brothers Bar & Grill, consistently focusing on strategic people operations, organizational transformation, and building high-impact teams.
