Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States, February 2025 – Sarah Vicuña has joined Lantern Government Solutions as Chief People Officer, where she will focus on enhancing talent acquisition, training, and workplace policies to build a high-performance team. With a mission to transform government healthcare, she will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s people strategy to ensure an engaging and supportive work environment.
Prior to joining Lantern Government Solutions, Sarah served as Human Resources Director at Journey Group, where she led a team of six HR professionals, overseeing recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and policy compliance. She played a crucial role in team development and corporate HR strategy, ensuring seamless HR operations.
Before that, she spent five years at POET, where she held multiple leadership roles, including Talent Strategy Manager and Lead CARE Business Partner. She was instrumental in talent acquisition, leadership development, and workforce planning for a 1,200-member organization across 40+ locations. Her strategic initiatives helped POET attract top-tier talent and improve retention.
Earlier in her career, Sarah worked at Fraser, serving as Senior HR Manager – Talent Acquisition, where she led a team of nine recruiters, hiring nearly 700 employees annually and reducing turnover through innovative retention strategies. She also held HR roles at Thomas Allen Inc., Frontier Communications, Family & Children’s Service, and The Aurora Center for Advocacy and Education, where she gained extensive experience in employee engagement, compliance, and volunteer coordination.
