Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, March 2025 – Michele Mauger has taken on the role of Chief People Officer at Vocus, a leading network solutions provider in Australia. In this executive position, she will lead the company’s people strategy, organizational development, and talent transformation initiatives to support Vocus’ mission of delivering high-performance, secure, and scalable services for its clients across the region.
Michele brings with her a stellar HR career spanning over three decades. Most recently, she served in an interim leadership role at John Holland Group, where she led employee experience, learning and leadership development, capability, DEI, talent and succession, and supported enterprise-wide initiatives. Prior to that, she served as Chief People Officer at Cleanaway Waste Management, where she played a crucial role in aligning people strategy with business transformation.
Earlier, Michele was the Chief People & Corporate Affairs Officer at Incitec Pivot Limited, overseeing both internal HR and external stakeholder engagement. She also held senior leadership roles at Metro Trains Melbourne, Thiess, and Worley, where she directed global people strategies across large, complex organizations, including M&A and leadership development.
Her early leadership roles include Head of HR at Grocon, and senior HR positions across House of Travel, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, and InterContinental Hotels Group in locations spanning Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Vietnam. Michele started her HR journey as a Corporate Trainee at Parkroyal Christchurch and progressed through roles that blended operational excellence with strategic talent leadership.
