Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – Ishita Anand Medhekar has joined Altius as the new Chief Human Resources Officer, taking charge of the company’s people strategy at a time when Altius is rapidly scaling its digital infrastructure footprint across India. In this leadership role, Ishita will focus on driving organizational transformation, strengthening leadership development, and enhancing talent and cultural capabilities across the Altius group.
Prior to joining Altius, Ishita served as Chief People Officer at Metropolis Healthcare for nearly six years, where she led several strategic HR initiatives during a period of sustained business growth and innovation. Her dual role as Group Head – Human Resources further amplified her impact on cross-functional leadership alignment and people-centric transformation.
Before that, she was Head of HR for the Convergence Business at Sterlite Power, where she played a pivotal role in talent acquisition and performance optimization. She also spent over eight years at Bharti Airtel, where she led the HR function for the Gujarat Circle, driving key employee engagement initiatives and operational HR transformations that were later scaled across the organization nationally.
Earlier in her career, Ishita contributed significantly at Avaya Global Connect as Manager – People Excellence, where she led performance management, talent strategy, and change management initiatives. Her professional journey began at AF Ferguson & Co., where she consulted across sectors on compensation benchmarking, organizational restructuring, and strategic HR system design.
Ishita holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Human Resources from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), equipping her with a strong academic foundation in people strategy and business alignment.
