Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain, April 2025 – Simone Stengele has joined STS as Vice President Human Resources and Administration, marking a new chapter in her global HR leadership journey. In her new role, Simone will be responsible for leading the company’s HR and administrative functions across its international footprint, ensuring alignment with STS’s mission of advancing sustainability through expert advisory services.
Simone most recently served as Global Vice President People at DeNexus, where she played a pivotal role in driving people strategy during a transformative phase for the company. Based in Madrid, she led initiatives focused on structural change management, HR strategy, and talent development across global teams. Her impact at DeNexus included the design and deployment of people-centric frameworks aligned with business growth objectives.
Prior to DeNexus, Simone was the Human Resources Director and Head of People Experience for SELAM, IMEA, and APAC at BTS, where she spent nearly five years. She led regional HR strategies across multiple markets, spearheaded engagement and development programs, and shaped the overall people experience in complex, multicultural environments.
Before BTS, she spent nearly two years at Qvantel, where she held the roles of Human Resources Director and HR Manager for Spain, Italy, and Latin America. In this role, she drove key talent and organizational development initiatives, enhancing employee engagement and leading HR transformation efforts across regions.
Simone’s earlier experience spans more than a decade at Sixt rent a car, where she held progressive leadership roles including Senior Team Lead for Training, Coaching & Development, and Training Manager Operations. She began her career with the Goethe-Institut in international hospitality, establishing a foundation of cross-cultural communication and operational excellence that would later shape her HR leadership style.
