Monmouth, Illinois,April 2025 — LeVon (LV) McAllister has been appointed as Chief Information Officer – Division of Information Technology at Monmouth College, bringing with him more than two decades of experience in higher education, government, and corporate IT leadership. In his new role, McAllister will oversee the college’s technology strategy, operations, infrastructure, and innovation roadmap, guiding digital transformation to support institutional growth and academic excellence.
Prior to joining Monmouth College, LeVon served as Director of Campus Technologies at Oakton Community College, where he led cross-campus technology initiatives and implemented service delivery improvements. His efforts enhanced IT responsiveness and supported strategic advancements in student and faculty services.
Before Oakton, he served as Director of Technology Support and Media Services at Joliet Junior College, where he directed a 25-member team across Service Desk, Desktop Support, and Media Services functions. He played a pivotal role in upgrading classroom technologies, integrating virtual/augmented reality, and aligning IT services with academic goals.
Earlier, LeVon held a leadership role at Purdue University Fort Wayne as Director of Customer Services Center, managing over 70 staff across multiple teams. Notably, he led the IT Realignment Project, a large-scale $775,000 initiative supporting the separation of Purdue University and Indiana University systems—a complex transition involving data migration, domain restructuring, and application realignment.
McAllister also brings deep public sector experience from his tenure with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, where he directed enterprise IT services, oversaw system migrations, and led state-wide mobile and IT service management projects. His foundational experience spans roles with Rockwell Automation, Nuveen Investments, and Deloitte-aligned consulting engagements, where he managed IT transformations, data center projects, and M&A technology integrations.
LeVon holds expertise in service delivery, strategic planning, digital strategy, and organizational leadership, consistently bringing a people-first, innovation-led approach to every role he undertakes. His appointment at Monmouth College reflects the institution’s commitment to advancing its digital capabilities while fostering a seamless academic and administrative technology environment.
