Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, April 2025 — Rajendra Y. has joined Apothecon Pharmaceutical as Associate Vice President – Quality Assurance, bringing with him over two decades of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. Known for his strategic vision, regulatory expertise, and commitment to operational excellence, Rajendra’s appointment is set to further strengthen Apothecon’s focus on quality, compliance, and global standards.
Prior to joining Apothecon Pharmaceutical, Rajendra Y. served as Associate Vice President and Head of Corporate Quality Assurance at Refex Group, where he oversaw comprehensive quality initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites. His role involved developing quality strategies, driving regulatory compliance, and ensuring robust quality management systems to meet international standards.
Before Refex, Rajendra spent more than four years at Jubilant Pharma Limited, where he led quality initiatives across diverse business units including APIs, Nutraceuticals, Life Science Ingredients, Specialty Chemicals, Oral Solid Dosage (OSD), Nutrition & Health Solutions, Crop Protection, and R&D. His leadership was pivotal in overseeing five independent QC labs, multiple QA departments, and several greenfield projects, ensuring stringent quality and compliance measures across internal and external manufacturing sites.
Earlier, as Corporate General Manager – Quality at VVF Science, Rajendra defined and executed quality and compliance strategies across seven global plants, achieving key regulatory approvals such as USFDA and TGA certifications. His role included effective CAPA management, regulatory audit preparation, SOP development, and implementing GMP compliance frameworks.
Rajendra Y. also held significant leadership roles at Naprod Life Sciences, Sun Pharma, Cipla, Ranbaxy, and Zydus Group, where he directed quality assurance and control functions, managed regulatory audits, optimized operational efficiencies, and ensured that the companies’ products met the highest global regulatory standards.
At Apothecon Pharmaceutical, Rajendra Y. will lead the company’s Quality Assurance initiatives, focusing on strengthening global regulatory compliance, building resilient quality systems, and driving excellence across the organization’s manufacturing and research operations. His vast expertise in managing complex quality landscapes and regulatory frameworks is expected to play a crucial role in reinforcing Apothecon’s position as a trusted name in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.
