Zach Moskowitz Appointed as Vice President, Talent Risk & Governance at American Express

New York City, New York, United States, May 2025 – American Express has appointed Zach Moskowitz as its new Vice President, Talent Risk & Governance, marking a significant step in the company’s focus on strategic talent risk management and workforce governance. In his new role, Moskowitz will lead initiatives designed to identify, mitigate, and manage talent-related risks while ensuring governance frameworks align with American Express’s commitment to people, performance, and purpose.

Zach brings over eight years of progressive HR leadership within American Express. Most recently, he served as Director of Talent Management, where he shaped enterprise-wide talent strategies and drove succession planning and leadership development efforts. Prior to that, he was Chief of Staff to the Colleague Talent & Development function, supporting critical HR transformation initiatives and leadership enablement programs.

Earlier at Amex, he worked as HR Business Partner for Global Commercial Services & Strategic Planning, and before that, as HR Business Partner for Global Merchant & Network Services, where he collaborated with senior business leaders on key organizational and talent priorities across geographies.

Before joining American Express, Zach held roles at PwC as Senior Associate, Financial Services People & Organization, where he advised financial clients on workforce transformation and organizational effectiveness. His career began at Lloyds Bank, where he progressed through multiple roles including AVP – HR Operations and Senior Analyst – Total Reward, gaining a strong foundation in HR analytics, reward systems, and operational strategy.
