Chicago, Illinois, United States, May 2025 – GCG has announced the appointment of Himani Ashleman as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her new role, Himani will be responsible for leading the company’s global HR strategy, with a focus on talent development, organizational transformation, and aligning human capital initiatives with GCG’s strategic growth across its global segments.
Himani joins GCG after serving for over five years as Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Vestcom and IDS – Avery Dennison Companies, where she played a key leadership role within the Global Avery Dennison IT Organization. Her tenure was marked by strong emphasis on strategic business partnership, culture change, and leadership development. She is recognized for her ability to drive transformation through executive coaching, organizational development, and workforce planning.
Prior to that, she took a career break of three years to focus on health and well-being. Before her sabbatical, Himani was Global Vice President, Human Resources at Therma-Tru and Vice President, Global Talent Management at Fortune Brands Home & Security. In this dual role, she drove impactful change across performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement. Under her leadership, internal talent placements doubled within six months, global turnover was significantly reduced, and cost savings of over $750K were achieved through targeted HR interventions.
She also served as Director, Global Talent Management and VP HR, Cooper Tires International, where she was responsible for talent acquisition, executive development, and HR strategy across Europe and Asia. Her leadership supported Cooper Tire’s expansion in international markets, demonstrating her global perspective and adaptability in complex, multicultural environments.
Earlier in her career, Himani was the Founder and Principal of EvoForte, an HR consultancy focused on organizational performance, where she helped emerging growth companies optimize leadership and talent systems. Her earlier leadership roles also include Director, Corporate and BU HR & Global Talent Management at IDEX Corporation, where she led the integration of global HR systems and processes across 30+ entities and helped scale the business from a holding structure to an integrated enterprise. She began her career with Honeywell, where she held multiple specialist and generalist HR roles over seven years and earned six promotions. Her responsibilities ranged from labor relations and compensation to leading Six Sigma initiatives in HR.
