Delhi, India, July 2025 – Hameed Jung has taken on a pivotal new role as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Shriram Bioseed Genetics, a leading player in agricultural biotechnology and a division of DCM Shriram Ltd. This appointment marks a significant step in Hameed’s distinguished HR career, where he will now spearhead talent, leadership, and cultural transformation across the division’s pan-Asian operations.
In his previous position as Vice President Human Resources & Group Talent & Learning Head at DCM Shriram Ltd, Hameed spent almost three years driving the group’s HR strategy and leadership development agenda. He played a critical role in aligning talent with business objectives, nurturing high-potential leaders, and fostering a learning culture across the organization.
Before joining DCM Shriram, Hameed was with Baxter International Inc., serving as Head of Talent Development and Learning for India and South East Asia and, earlier, as Head of Talent Management – India. In these roles, he led strategic talent development, succession planning, and organizational learning initiatives, ensuring a robust leadership pipeline for the company’s dynamic business landscape.
Earlier, Hameed built a strong foundation in HR through impactful assignments at global giants like GE (where he held multiple leadership positions in HR business partnering, talent management, and organizational development for both Indian and global operations), General Motors (as Head OD, Change Management and Learning), and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance (as Senior Manager and Manager, Human Resources). His consulting experience at Right Management further enriched his skillset, enabling him to lead competency mapping and large-scale change interventions.
Hameed is an alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences with a master’s degree in Human Resources Management, and is widely recognized for his expertise in talent strategy, organizational design, and leadership development.
