Leicester, England, United Kingdom, August 2025 — Jo Carlin has stepped into the role of Chief People Officer at Effective Energy Group, where she will lead the organization’s people and culture strategy, bringing a strong focus on HR transformation, employee engagement, and inclusive leadership.
Jo brings nearly three decades of progressive HR leadership experience to her new role. Prior to this, she spent almost 3 years at Firstsource as Senior Vice President HR Europe and Global Head of Inclusion and Diversity, where she led a team across 9 locations and implemented a three-year People Strategy, transforming the HR operating model and delivering structural redesigns across borders.
Before that, she worked as UK Group HR Director at B. Braun Group, where she designed and implemented a 5-year people strategy and reward framework, contributing to strategic board-level decision-making. She also held the position of Human Resources Director at Fresenius Kabi UK, where she spearheaded digital HR transformations and policy innovations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier in her career, Jo held impactful leadership roles at Daniel Thwaites, Pirelli, Nutricia (Danone Group), and John West Foods, where she drove HR transformation, led cultural shifts, and oversaw critical organizational transitions.
Jo holds a Master of Science (MS) in Psychological Science from Brunel University of London and a Master of Science (MSc) in Management (Employee Engagement) from the University of South Wales.
