Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, July 2026 — Beiersdorf has appointed Cebile Xulu as Senior Director Human Resources, Southern Africa. Based in Durban, she will lead the people strategy across the Southern African business, partnering with leadership to strengthen organizational capability, leadership development, talent management, culture, employee engagement, and workforce transformation in support of the company’s long-term growth ambitions.
Cebile brings over 25 years of human resources leadership experience across the consumer goods, manufacturing, consulting, and industrial sectors, with deep expertise in strategic HR, organizational development, leadership capability, talent management, employee engagement, transformation, industrial relations, and business partnering.
Prior to joining Beiersdorf, Cebile spent more than nine years with Mondelēz International, where she progressed through several senior HR leadership positions across Sub-Saharan Africa. Most recently, she served as Senior Director Human Resources, Sub Sahara Africa, leading the regional people agenda across multiple markets. Earlier, she held the roles of People Lead (HR Director), Sub-Sahara Africa and HR Director, Sub-Saharan Africa, where she partnered with business leaders to drive organizational transformation, leadership development, talent strategy, workforce capability, culture, and employee engagement across the region.
Before joining Mondelēz International, Cebile spent over eight years with The HEINEKEN Company, holding several strategic HR leadership positions. As Leadership & Capability Development Manager – Africa, Middle East & Eastern Europe, based in the Netherlands, she helped shape global leadership development programmes and capability-building initiatives across the AMEE region. Earlier, as Human Resources Executive, she led enterprise-wide human capital strategy, leadership development, organizational performance, talent management, employer branding, employee engagement, transformation, internal communications, and industrial relations. She also served as HR Development Manager, driving leadership development, coaching, talent management, performance management, and organizational transformation initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Cebile served as HR Manager – Darnall Sugar Mill at Tongaat Hulett, where she provided strategic HR leadership to manufacturing operations, industrial relations, recruitment, and employee engagement.
She also worked as Senior Consultant / Trainer – Organisational Development at A-Cubed Institute, advising public and private sector organizations on organizational restructuring, leadership development, coaching, risk management, HR strategy, and capability building across multiple industries.
Cebile previously served as HR Manager at Sara Lee, leading the full spectrum of human resources including recruitment, training, payroll, employee relations, engagement, and organizational development. She began her HR career with Masonite (Africa) Ltd as an HR Practitioner, building foundational expertise across core human resources functions.
Her appointment reinforces Beiersdorf’s commitment to strengthening its people capabilities, leadership excellence, and organizational culture as the company continues to expand across Southern Africa.
