Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, July 2026 — Justdial has appointed Dinkar Ayilavarapu as its Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership transition as the company accelerates its next phase of digital innovation and business growth. He brings more than two decades of experience spanning strategy, digital transformation, business operations, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational leadership across consulting and technology-driven enterprises.
Prior to joining Justdial, Dinkar spent over five years at Flipkart, where he held two strategic leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Head of Flipkart Wholesale, leading the Group’s B2B commerce business with full P&L responsibility. During his tenure, he spearheaded the transformation of Flipkart Wholesale into a digital-first, customer-centric platform, driving profitable growth through omnichannel strategy, operational excellence, governance, customer engagement, leadership development, and organizational simplification.
Alongside this responsibility, he also served as Vice President and Head of Strategy & Transformation, where he led enterprise-wide corporate strategy, portfolio planning, board governance, shareholder engagement, business transformation, annual operating planning, strategic execution, and organization-wide value creation initiatives across the Flipkart Group.
Since 2021, Dinkar has also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Kheyti, contributing to the organization’s mission of improving agricultural livelihoods through climate-smart innovations and sustainable farming solutions.
Earlier, Dinkar built an accomplished 14-year career at Bain & Company, progressing from Consultant to Partner. During this period, he advised leading global organizations across telecommunications, technology, healthcare, digital services, and infrastructure sectors on corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration, change management, operational transformation, business growth, and organizational effectiveness. His consulting assignments spanned India, the United States, Europe, Singapore, and South Africa, establishing him as a recognized leader in business transformation and strategic execution.
Before Bain, he worked as a Consultant at Accenture, where he advised organizations on market assessment, business strategy, operational improvement, supply chain transformation, and capability development.
He began his corporate career with ITC Limited as Assistant Manager, where he worked across brand management, sales leadership, marketing strategy, pricing, promotions, and commercial execution for some of the company’s leading consumer brands.
Dinkar holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, one of India’s premier business schools, where he specialized in management and strategy.
His appointment reflects Justdial’s strategic focus on strengthening digital capabilities, accelerating platform innovation, enhancing customer experience, and driving sustainable growth as the company continues expanding its technology-enabled local search and commerce ecosystem.
